DIY Printable Monster Valentines | by Jennifer Garry
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Every store you walk into right now is oozing red and pink hearts and exploding with messages of love and mushy gushiness. If you’re anything like my daughter, you might roll your eyes a little and fake gag when you see them. She would be ok with them for her BFFs, but the thought of handing them out to some of the boys in her class makes her want to puke.
Instead, she would much rather personalize her own valentines. She likes them much better with a little more of her own personality put into them anyway—and so do her friends!
This year, we put our heads together and decided to make some printable DIY monster valentines that can be as lovey or non-lovey as she wants. And you can use them too!
We made three different styles: fangtastic, monster hug, and beast. The best thing about them is that you can make them totally yours. Whether that means printing them out on cardstock and coloring them in, gluing on googly eyes, or printing them out on different colored paper is up to you. You can also add little treats (like the candy hearts or dinosaurs we used) or hand them out as is. Either way, you’re sure to have some one-of-a-kind valentines. And it couldn’t be easier!
Step one: Download your favorite design (or all three!) and print them out. We recommend using card stock. Click on the thumbnails below to download each PDF:
Step two: Assemble your supplies. We used little treat bags, stamps, googly eyes, glue and crayons, but this is where you can let your imagination run wild.
Step three: Personalize like crazy!
Step four: Give your awesome, personalized valentines to your friends.
If you use our little monsters, don’t forget to show off your work. Post them to Instagram and don’t forget to tag us @littlemissmatched #LMMUBU and @cuddlesandchaos so we can see how you made these designs your own!
